Title	Order Made by the Commissioners of Manea and Welney District
Description	Copy of an order made a meeting held at the Catharine Wheel Inn in Manea, on 04 October 1853, for a Memorial to be presented to the Bedford Level Corporation concerning the unsatisfactory state of the Old Bedford River. They ask for the threshold of the sluice to be lowered and suggest that the sluice should be converted into a pen sluice, to prevent the Old Bedford River from silting up. One signatory. Also includes a covering letter from Allpress and Lawrence, Solicitors of St Ives.
