TitlePetition of Certain Commissioners, Owners and Occupiers of Land in Soham Middle Level
DescriptionPetition for permission to build a catchwater drain along the foot of the Fordham and Isleham highlands at their own expense, to drain the upland waters into the Mildenhall River and prevent flooding. They also ask for authority to execute this work beyond the taxable lands of the Bedford Level. They also report that ditches have been built too close to the banks of the Mildenhall River and River Ouse, causing water to soak through. Nine signatories. Also includes various notes concerning the petition.
