The Cam Conservators are responsible for the navigation of the River Cam of Queens Mill to Clayhithe Ferry and have done much work on their stretch. The impediments below Clayhithe Ferry are in the jurisdiction of the Commissioners for Sewers for the Bedford Level, who are asked to improve their stretch of the navigation.
