Contains leases, assignments and conveyances to Thomas Alderton, Thomas Booth, Rebecca Gooby, Thomas Harris, David Martin, Edward Robinson, the trustees of the Wesleyian Methodist Chapel at Little Downham, Sarah Wright and Charles Wright. Also contains a certificate about Mr Brown's expenses; a deed of covenant with Sir Thomas Hare, by way of an indemnity; an invitation to tender for removing the Old Bedford Sluice, and rebuilding it with a lowered threshold; a power of attorney to Hugh Robert Evans; report of Charles Culledge about the state of public houses in 1857; a list of the owners of more than 200 acres of Adventurers' lands; draft regulations for the guidance of the sluice keeper at Denver Sluice; draft case as to the Ouse Bank Commissioners; a specification of the works needed to be done in the Fen Office in 1905; a draft notice that all haling should now be done on the Cradge Bank; a draft case as to the validity of a lease granted to [John Walbanke] Childers; the report of a Committee about a Nene Valley Drainage and Navigation Bill; a petition of the Bedford Level Corporation against the Wisbech, Chatteris, Tydd Gote and Downham Bridge Turnpike Bill; Samuel Well's bar certificate, calling him to the bar at Gray's Inn, and Samuel Well's freedom of the city of London.
