TitleExemplification of a Special Verdict
DescriptionSpecial verdict made in the suit between John Bridgeman and Thomas Dockwra, as to the rights of the [Society of Adventurers] to 79 acres taken from Nornea Farm, which had previously belonged to the Church of Ely. This suit was heard in the Upper Bench, at Westminster, on 22 June 1659. The Upper Bench confirmed the drainage of the Fens, and the title of the Society of Adventurers to the 95,000 acres of Adventurers' lands. It is exemplifed under the Great Seal.
