DescriptionArticles of agreement between Sir Francis Russell, Earl of Bedford, Oliver St John, Earl of Bolingbroke, Edward, Lord Gorges, Sir Robert Heath; the Lord Chief Justice; Sir Miles Sandys; Sir William Russell; Sir Robert Bevill; Sir Thomas Tyrringham; Sir Philibert Vernatt; Sir Robert Lovett; Dr William Sames; Anthony Hammond; Samuel Spalding and Andrew Burrell, in which the 95,000 acres of the newly drained land promised to the Earl of Bedford were divided into 20 lots. They also agreed to share the costs of draining the Great Level of the Fens in proportion to the number of shares they adventured.
