DescriptionThese documents record formal inductions of officers of the archdeaconry. The structure of the appointments varies: some are copies of patents, some original patents, others are copies taken from the registry of the dioceses of Lincoln. The correspondence and occassional deeds and agreements included in the series reflect the original order of the documents. Where the terms archdeacon, registrar, commissary and official are used, these refer to the holders of these offices in the archdeaconry of Huntingdon. Some of these records are in Latin.
