Description | James Collens, a former patient of Papworth Hospital, was born probably in 1899, the son of school master. He spent his early life in Guernsey and contracted tuberculosis in 1918. He came to Papworth in 1933 where he worked as a clerk with interests in horticulture and photography. He died in 1991.
