Description16mm original positive film, silent, 450 feet, some burnt-out frames but generally in good condition.
A list [by Frank Jordan] found in the can identifies the visitors as the Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Willingdon, Queen Mary, 1935 celebration 1 section poor film, fancy dress, Queen Mary another visit (not too good), Duke of Gloucester 1934.
Film includes shots of hospital and hostel buildings, men at work in workshops, Royal visitors being greeted and shown round, unveiling ceremonies, hospital staff posing for camera, men and women plying cricket together fancy dress parade of decorated prams, bicycles and carts around lake, races, stalls at garden party, presentation of prizes, obstacle race, nurses' sack race, starting propeller of Duke of Gloucester's aeroplane.
