Description | A view of the Library in Hinchingbrooke House. According to David Cozens in his book "Huntingdon A Pictorial History", the present library was formed in the 1890s when an existing library was enlarged to incorporate the remaining ground floor of the former church. A portrait of the 1st Earl of Sandwich can be seen on the right, and one of his wife Jemima is at the far end of the room. This print is identical to WH2/273A and has not been scanned |
