DescriptionA Messrs. Coutts & Company cheque for £3.7s.6d. in payment for photographs provided by Arthur Maddison to the Prince of Wales. In 1868 Arthur Maddison photographed the Prince of Wales on one of his visits to Kimbolton Castle, and over the years took many images of royal visits. From 1868 "Arthur proclaimed his appointment as Royal Photographer and incorporated the Prince of Wales' feathers into the art work on the back of his carte-de-visite prints" (from David Cozens book "Huntingdon A Pictorial History")
