TitleOrdnance Survey Map of Godmanchester
DescriptionImage of the 1901 25" Ordnance Survey map of Godmanchester, marked with archaeological sites. These include Roman buildings, graves, sites where human and other remains have been found, where coins have been found, and Roman roads. The map was most probably annotated by the Reverend Frederick George Walker of Godmanchester, a keen amateur archaeologist. See WH3/2115 for anothe copy of this map, and WH3/2108 & 2114A-B, images of the Roman artefacts belonging to the Reverend Walker of Godmanchester on display in the Institution in Huntingdon (probably the Literary and Scientific Institute, now the Commemoration Hall).
