DescriptionSeated studio portrait of a gentleman named Mr. Woods with a sheep's harness. Presumably the husband of Mrs Woods in WH/1/50. See also WH1/58, which is an image of a group of sheep shearers and onlookers in front of an unidentified house. The Maddison and Hinde index book records WH1/58 as "Mr Wood's copy". Is this the Mr Woods in question? The farmers listed in the 1869 trade directory include Thomas Francis Woods of Brampton, and William Woods of Yelling.
