TitleJubilee Cycle Parade
DescriptionGroup of eleven cyclists (some in fancy dress) with decorated bicycles. Numerous onlookers are standing behind them. The print of the glass plate (DC181) names some of the participants . A Miss Sarll is on the extreme left (wearing a tartan sash) and another young Miss Sarll is the small girl in the middle of the group. Behind her is a Mr White (the man wearing the boater ) and a Mr Cowan is third from the right in the pierrot costume. "Fancy dress & cycle parade over 60 years ago" is written at the bottom of the print. This photograph has been described as a Boer War celebration and is dated to 1902 in David Cozens "Huntingdon a Pictorial History" but according to the Maddison and Hinde order book it dates from 1897 and is described as a Jubilee celebration
