DescriptionHoward Gilliat Esq., tenant of Abbots Ripton Hall from 1887 until his death in 1907. There are a number of papers relating to Howard Gilliat among the Fellowes family papers, including his lease of the Hall in 1887 for 21 years from Lord de Ramsey (see R50/4/1), when he is described as living at 12 James Street, Buckingham Gate, Middlesex, correspondence between Mr Gilliat and Lord de Ramsey, 1887-1889 (R50/4/1), and valuations and inventories of fixtures and fittings at the Hall by the executors of Howard Gilliat in 1907 (R44/26)
