Conditional surrender, and copy of same, by Carlton and his wife of lands etc. in R8/1/34, the messuage with orchard and garden in Upwood, now in the occupation of Luke Bedford, the messuage with the close of pasture land (2 ac), now in the occupation of Mr. Watford, 3 cottages in Upwood, one occupied and the others occupied by Mr. Clements and Mr. Thomson, a cottage in Upwood now occupied by Mr. Warrington and all other their copyhold lands etc. to the use of Miss Bateman, for securing the repayment of £100 and interest.
