Description1. Construction of a railway from Spalding to Lincoln, revision of original scheme. Consisting of: a. A line from Donington to Old Sleaford to and from a junction with the Midland Counties Railway (Boston and Sleaford line). B. Line leaving a. in the parish of New Sleaford and Donington to Potter Hanworth. c. Branch from Sleaford to Boston line (Midland Counties Railway) to join the Spalding to Lincoln line. d. Continuing from the original line of the scheme in Potter Hanworth, passing through Lincoln and terminating in the parish of Skellingthorpe. e. Leaving from the main line in the parish of Canwick and travelling North-East to form a siding by the River Witham. f. Leaving the main line in the parish of Canwick and travelling North-West to join lines into Lincoln Station. g. Not included. h. Leaving main line in the parish of Boultham and terminating with a junction with the Great Northern Railway (loop line). Passing through the following parishes: a. Donington, Helpringham, Burton Pedwardine, Kirkby Laythorpe, Old Sleaford (all in county Lincolnshire). b. Kirkby Laythorpe, Evedon, New Sleaford, Leasingham, Ruskington, Donington (all in county Lincolnshire). c. Parish of New Sleaford (county Lincolnshire). d. Potter Hanworth, Branston, Washingborough, Canwick, parishes of South Common, St Peter at Gowts, and St Botolph (Lincoln); Boultham, Skellingthorpe (all in county Lincolnshire). e. Canwick and Greetwell (both county Lincolnshire). f. Canwick and South Common (both county Lincolnshire). h. Boultham (county Lincolnshire). Plans and sections: Horizontal 6 chains (132 yards) to 1 inch. Vertical 60 feet to 1 inch. Cross sections: Horizontal 5 chains (110 yards) to 1 inch. Vertical 40 feet to 1 inch.
