DescriptionTitle. Ely Ouse-Essex Water. Description. A scheme to provide for the transfer of water from the Ely Ouse river in the area of the Great Ouse River Authority to the area of the Great Ouse Authority.
A. Construction of a weir and sluice at Denver.

B. Construction of a weir diversion sluice and channel at Denver.
1. Construction of an intake from the cut-off channel [authorised by the River Great Ouse (Flood protection) Act 1949] at Blackdyke Farm, Hockwold-cum-Wilton.
2. Construction of a tunnel from Denver directly south to Kennett.
3. Construction of a pumping station at Kennett.
4. Construction of an aqueduct at Kennett
5. Construction of an aqueduct or line of pipes commencing in Kennett and terminating at Kirtling.
5A. Construction of a washout conduit or line of pipes commencing at Kennett, in conjunction with work number 5.
5B. A washout conduit or line of pipes in the parish of Moulton between work number 5 and River Kennett.
5C. A washout conduit or line of pipes in the parishes of Ashley and Dalham
5D. A washout conduit or line of pipes in the parish of Kirtling.
6. An outfall in the parish of Kirtling.
7. Access road to number 6 from the Kirtling Green to Ditton Green Road.
8. Construction of an aqueduct in the parish of Kirtling
