DescriptionA carte de visite with this image appeared for sale on the website www.trocadero.com in 2010. It was by Arthur Maddison, Huntingdon, and "The perfect cure copyright" was written on the bottom of the mount. This is a print of an early emulsion plate (WH9/238) , therefore it may date from the 1870s, and must be pre-1887 (the year Arthur Maddison died). See also WH1/514, an image of an unidentified male who resembles the man in this tooth extraction image.
This print has been captioned "A perfect cure" by Ernest Whitney
