TitleHuntingdon Hospital.
DescriptionAn early view of Huntingdon Hospital, which was opened in 1854. Hatfield's directory of 1854 describes the building as "a handsome rectangular edifice, (with a projection in the centre of the front, surmounted by a pediment,) erected of brick, with dressings of cement in imitation of Portland stone. It has two stories above the ground, on one beneath, and appears to be well adapted and admirably disposed for the reception and accommodation of the sick". "It is erected in a delightfully healthy and commanding situation, on the western outskirts of the town, contiguous to the Great Northern railway station"
