August. To Germany. Dean Wellesley re. a clergyman for Kimbolton.

September. Still in Germany. Visit to Prince and Princess Hesse.

October. Germany and Austria. Visit to the Austrian Museum.

October. Hungary. Begins journey home via Paris. Louisa says Lady Susan Vane is in Paris "for concealment" and he thinks the rumour is true. To Newmarket with Prince of Wales.

November. Dinner in Downing Street with Lord Derby. Sandringham and the Prince of Wales' birthday.

December. Kimbolton.
