TitleRentals and other papers relating to Sir Robert Bernard's property on Hyde Park Corner, London
DescriptionIncludes rentals of properties on Hyde Park Corner and Hamilton Street, including names of tenants, rents paid etc. Also correspondence, mostly from Richard Wall, Lansdown House [London], concerning enquiries from potential new tenants, the erection of new properties and repairs to existing properties. The letters refer to the French Ambassador, Lord Malden, General Morrison, Thomas Onslow, Mrs Douglas and Lady Clarges. (1762-1782).

There are also several letters addressed to John Smith, Drapers Hall, solicitor, from C. Claggett for Lord Bathurst, Mr Whitehead and Mr Harrison for the Duke of Queensberry. Includes a plan of the properties on Hamilton Street with those leased to Mr Hall, Dudley Long, Sir Gerrard Vanneck and the Duke of Queensberry marked. (1786-1787).

One stray item: lease of properties lying in the Manor of Spaldwick and Easton from Phillipe Castell of Huntingdon to Sir John Bernard of Brampton for a term of 500 years (1668).
