Title | Extract from a letter to the Duke of Manchester, from his son Viscount Mandeville, House of Commons |
Description | Dr Verity called with two letters from his grandmother [Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow] about his statements. Verity does not believe she wants to go to law, because of the risk that the lawsuit would place Tandragee in the category of encumbered estates. They had a horrid division between the English and Irish Members. Most are weak enough to be taken in by Gladstone's promise to compensate land for the legacy duty. [Final pages missing]. |
