| Description | He has heard from Mr Stephens that the plough sent to Kimbolton was damaged by the stiffness of the clay soil. It is a pity the Duke did not inform him sooner. He has not had any trouble with his own ploughs and has spoken to the carpenter and blacksmith who made them and they know of no instance of one being broken in this way. He would be interested to know how the Duke measures the depth of his furrows. |
