He has received a letter from his sister Liv, saying that Lady Olivia had sent £250 to Mr Cookson to clear his debts and pay for his passage to New Zealand. Expresses his gratitude. He has been in bed for the past two months and now needs a stick to walk. He cannot stand alone. He thought he had been forgotten but their kind letters have made him happy. He would love to see Lady Olivia and Liv again at Brampton. Porter is to come and nurse him. |
