The January letter discusses the pressing need to get "our own" mayor elected soon because of the state of health of the two MPs. The September letters refer to the likely outcome of an election then about to take place. The October letter mentions the election of a number of new Burgesses who are all attached to "our Party". The November letter refers to the imprudence of attempting an Address [possibly about the situation in the American colonies]
