Title	Letter; Mr. Rowley, St. Neots, to the Countess of Sandwich.
Description	Defending at length his decision as Mayor of Huntingdon to agree to convene a Reform Meeting if the requisition was numerously and respectably signed. To have refused would not have prevented a meeting and the petition then sent would have attacked the influence of the Sandwich family in the Borough and given his refusal to convene the meeting as one example of this influence. Mr. Maule is not competent to give the Countess a fair opinion on the subject. Mentions also an earlier petition for the repeal of the assessed taxes.
