DescriptionConcern the payment of the fee farm rents which were collected for Maule by Merriman and Gwillim, and especially the amount to be deducted from the rents payable on certain properties in the p. of Everleigh or Everley, co. Wiltshire, for land tax. (Sir John D. Astley was the Lord of the Manor). Enclosed: 1) Copy of Land Tax Assesment for p. of Everleigh for 1873-74 2) Copy of Poor Rate Assessment for the same, made on 31st October, 1873. 3) Office copy of a Certificate of a contract of 17th December, 1798, for the Redemption of the Land Tax payable by Francis Dugdale Astley on certain property in the p. of Everly. 29th September, 1875 4) Receipt For £2. 14.10d. paid to Merriman & Gwillim by Maule for work done in the above business. 2nd November, 1875
