Description(with another copy of the Lease and attested copies of both the Lease and Release) Recites: Will of James Ward of London, Esq. (Hinch/2/109) Now for barring all estates tail and remainders in the landsbelow and in consideration of the recent marriage of 1. and the sum of £3,000 paid to James Pettit by Thomas Nunn as Judith's Marriage Portion and in pursuance of the Marriage Articles of 19th March 1717. James Pettit releases to 2 All those land in the p. of St. Martin in the Fields, St. Giles in the Fields and St. Anne, Westminster, co. Middlesex, which by the will of James Ward, deceased, were devised to James Pettit and his heirs. The recoveror in any Recovery to hold the first 38 pieces of ground, of which the annual rents amount to £301.19.0d., to the use of James Pettit for his life," and then to the use of his wife Judith for her life for her Jointure", and then to the use of their eldest son and his heirs male in defant of such issue, the use of 4 for a term of 1,000 years upon certain declared trusts. The recoverer to hold all the other pieces of ground to the use of James Pettit and his heirs for ever.
