TitleStatement of the Case of the Drainage Authorities have jurisdiction over the lower parts of the rivers Nene & Ouse, or cover the banks thereof, and of the owners of the lands charged with the cost of the maintenance of the works of the said Authorities, with reference to the Rivers Conservancy Bill of 1879.
DescriptionWith a covering letter of 25 June, 1879 The Board of Bedford Level Corporation, the Middle Level Commissioners, the South Level Commissioners, the Ouse Outfall Board and the Denver Sluice Commissioners to [Lord Hinchingbrooke M.P.] Stating that the provisions of the Bill, of enacted, will operate most injuriously and unjustly upon those large tracts of Fen Land which lie in the lower part of the Ouse Valley, or are drained by that River. Hoping that, on reading the Statement of the Case, he will feel able to support Mr. Fellowes' motion to have the Bill referred to a Select Committee.
