DescriptionAfter 1835 the Quarter Sessions could unite parishes into a Highway District and to appoint a district surveyor. In Huntingdonshire four such rural districts were created. The minutes and accounts of the districts themselves appear to have found their way into the Quarter sessions records, but they have been listed separately (Highway Boards). This section summarises only those records of the Clerk of the Peace himself.
