DescriptionElizabeth, wife of William Cox, labourer, Stanground said that she would not allow her husband to go with the others, but followed them herself at a distance and saw all (for which her husband beat her); that Stallibrass had offered, if her husband kept quiet to pay for a councillor to defend him (Cox had been charged with stealing Mr. Mattleys wheat); that the party assembled to divide the money at Samuel Bellamy's, that Stallibrass offered help when Bellamy's child was ill. John Jackson labourer said he refused to go with Bellamy and Ogden but knew all about the transaction.
