TitleDeposition: Grey of Glatton (John and his sons Thomas, William and Robert): Statements by Richard Shawley, Sawtry St. Andrews, tailor, about a very considerable robbery in his shop; Mary Shawley, his aunt-in-law proprietress of the Chequers Public House, Sawtry All Saints; Thomas Batson Journey an tailor: Ann Hatton, James Allen, pawn-broker, Mary Ireland, all of Stamford, about goods bought from Grey; Algernon Smith, Police Constable, Queens Square, Westminster, who employed to discover the perpetrators of sundry offences in Hunts, had traced goods stolen from Shawley to Conington and to Stamford. No witness identified the prisoner Vinter. (Thomas Grey's alibi was proved).
