TitleDeposition: John Grey charged with stealing four hams, a portmanteau and articles of clothing from Mrs Agnes Wilson, proprietor of the George Inn Stilton. Evidence from Philip Wilson, her son; William Chapman, baker, Oundle, Northamptonshire (who stated that he had bought the hams at 6d. and 5d. a lb.); William Isaacs, miller, Glatton; John Scroop Choonies, farmer, Carlton, Lincoln, who claimed great coats and suits from the portmanteau, as his property. With the depositions is a copy of a handbill which Philip Wilson had printed and circulated, offering £5 reward for information leading to the recovery of the property which is specified.
