TitleIndictment: Mary Bird uttering counterfeit half-crown to Mary Dean (cf. Depositions). A true bill against Edward Barnes, butcher and his wife Mary Ann, George Saunders, blacksmith, Sarah Stretton, widow and Ann Stretton, spinster, for conspiring to slander and ridicule William Speechley, a well-disposed citizen, by making effigies of Speechley and of a bastard child lately sworn to him and carrying with great disturbance and malicious speeches, the figures through the public street of Yaxley in the sight of many people.
