DescriptionPublished account of Mr. Stokes' expereriences in St Ives during 1940 to 1943 when he was billeted with Mrs. Jenkinson on Needingworth Road, St Ives. Recalls lessons in the Constitutional Hall, death of a fellow evacuee called Godson, swimming at Holt Island and The Staunch and later being moved to Mr and Mrs Dodson's House on Darwood Place.
