Title | Letter to Frank Cowlard from the Duke of Manchester, aboard the S.S. Robin Gray |
Description | Will soon arrive in Mombasa. Congratulations to Olga on her engagement. To save money on taxes they intend to give up having a residence in England and Park Lodge will be let. Will have to dispense with Ernest, Ethel and Gordon. Mrs. Slacter and Mr. Stead have now moved into Kimbrook, "living in sin". Anxious to hear whether the shooting syndicate is working out. The cattle that Seabrook sent have arrived in Kenya but the best two were knocked out by diseases. Surprised the Prince has got the nerve to be driving about Kimbolton with Mrs. Doyne-Ditmas. Will send parcels of food regularly. |
