DescriptionFormerly accession 3767 part. With photocopy. The roll states that the court was held on Friday on the feast of St. Michael in the eighth year of the reign of Henry VI, which would be 29 September 1429. However, Michaelmas in 1429 fell on a Thursday. It is likely that the scribe failed to update the regnal year, since Henry VI's regnal years commenced on 1 September. This hypothesis would seem to be confirmed by the existence of another roll, in G29/13, for Thursday 29 September 1429.
