In 1859 Huntingdonshire was given up for lost but he consented to stand although he had to rely on Lord Sandwich, Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow and his brother to fund him. Discusses his work in the county and the chances of being successful again, given his stance on America and Garibaldi. Will need Derby's help to secure reelection.
