Description(1) Dorothie Cotton, widow, late the wife of Thomas Cotton, Conington, Esq., Henry Tamworth, Christopher Tamworth, London, gents, bros. of the said Dorothie. (2) Robert Cotton, son and heir of said Thomas C. and administrator of his goods. Recites: (i) Indentures of 20 Feb. 1559 and 25th Feb. 1585 and Fine of Easter Term 1585. (ii) Deeds of 12 Feb. 1585 and 17th Apr. 1588, Fine of Easter Term, 1585 and Deed to Lead Uses of Fine of 14 Feb. 1585. (iii) Indenture of 19 Apr. 1588 and will of said Thomas Cotton. All these docs. made provision for said Dorothie and her children. (iv) (2) Has confirmed and made better assurance of all these deeds and has also made provision for Rebecca, the youngest dau. (v) For further assurance on all sides. Now (1) Acknowledges, for the better satisfaction of (2) that Indenture of 25 Feb. 1579 has been performed and that no other deeds were made by said Thomas C. for benefit of Dorothie and her children except deed of gift of 20 April 1588 and one conveyance of a lease of a farm in Sawtry. And one obligation of £800 to said Dorothie which (2) has fulfilled. Dorothie covenants with (2) she will, during the next 2 years release (2) from said covenant and from all charges re. the said Dorothie and her children except these recited.
