DescriptionThe Maternity and Child Welfare Committee met monthly and discussed issues regarding the provision of maternity care within the Borough. Issues discussed included the establishment of new clinics, such as birth control and ante natal clinics; payment of fees for care; an analysis of income and expenditure; attendance at welfare centres; the supply of milk to children; orders for new equipment and apparatus; staff attendance at conferences; and staff issues including appointments. Reports were regularly heard from the Medical Officer of Health, the Dental Officer and visitors inspecting clinics. This volume has an alphabetical index.
