TitleA letter from Godfrey Lushington, Home Office, Whitehall, to the Mayor of Cambridge, with copies of a previous letter from Godfrey Lushington to the Mayor and enclosures from the German Embassy to the Foreign Office, 14 Jul 1882, and the Foreign Office to the Home Office, 20 Jul 1882, all relating to an inquiry after a Robert Pattle, riding master, who has abandoned his four-year old daughter Dorothea Amanda Pattle in Hanover, and is believed to have been born in Cambridge, the German authorities wishing to establish that Robert Pattle is a British subject and to return Dorothea to England
