DescriptionFollowing a council meeting on 20 Feb 1851, proposals were made to petition against the preamble and clauses of the bill. A copy of the petition drawn up by the Town Clerk sent to Pitt and Co for their comment and advice. The response from the solicitors concerns the petition and a recommended course of action to take.
