TitlePetition of the [Principal] Inhabitants of Whittlesey St Mary and Whittlesey St Andrew
DescriptionThe petitioners report that the tide frequently comes too far up Moreton's Leam and that fresh water is in short supply. They ask for the New Cut to be dammed and for the North Sluice not to be allowed to run more fresh water than is necessary, so that there is sufficient fresh water in Moreton's Leam. They also ask for the drain between Flood's Ferry and Whittlesey Mere to be scoured out or enlarged, and also Delph Dyke. Twenty nine signatories.
