TitlePetition of William Cockle and James Failes
DescriptionThe petitioners are tenants in common in fee of 4 acres of Adventurers' land in Welney Severals. They report that their tenant, Naylor Dalton, wilfully neglected to pay the drainage tax due in 1835, and that Roger Burgess colluded with him to defraud them of their rightful property. They ask for the Board to declare that the sale is nul and void, as they were totally ignorant that the tax was in arrears. Two signatories
