Title"Cromwell's Ordnance and an Act of Parliament for Confirming the Same"
DescriptionVolume containing printed copies of an ordinance made by Oliver Cromwell on 26 May 1654 and an Act of Parliament passed on 26 June 1656. The ordinance gave the Society of Adventurers additional powers beyond those granted to them in the "Pretended Act" for perserving the drainage works in the Great Level of the Fens, and the 1656 Act had the effect of making the ordinance an Act of Parliament. Printed in 1657 by Henry Hills and John Field, of London.
