DescriptionAddressed ‘My Dear Bro’ on fragment torn from letter addressed to ‘Messrs Mortlock Sons’. Transcription by CRO staff: "My dear Bro Mr Rough has just called upon me express a wish to show me the altered plan for the improvement of Benet's Church from a desire the Committee entertain that it should be considered by me before they begin the work. I expressed my regret the subject had not been mentioned before for you were here on Friday last But I promised to enquire if you would be kind enough to come over on any day you would name a most convenient to you when Mr Rough informs me a deputation from the Committee will have pleasure in meeting you at my house - receiving my note which I have read to Mr Rough is the reason of its being transcribed by another hand."
